The Spirit of Collaboration

🇩🇪 Die vergangene Woche war in zweierleich Hinsicht bemerkenswert, das Arcryla City (🇬🇧) Sommerfestival betrachtet. Wie letzten Sonntag angedeutet, habe ich an gleich zwei Kollaborationsprojekten gearbeitet.

Eines davon kann ich euch heute hier auch schon präsentieren, das zweite ist zwar ebenfalls bereits fertig, wird aber erst im Laufe der nächsten Woche veröffentlicht. Hierbei handelt es sich um die dritte Haupt-Challenge, deren Ergebnisse gestern im dritten großen Showcase präsentiert wurden.

Dieses fand unter dem Motto „The Spirit of Collaboration“ statt. In diesem Sinne wurden wir in Teams zusammengewürfelt, um gemeinsam an einem Bild zu arbeiten, das unsere jeweiligen Personas zeigt, wie sie miteinander interagieren. Beide sollten zudem mehrere Elemente gemeinsam haben.

🇬🇧 Last week was remarkable in the double sense of the word regarding the Arcryla City Summer Festival. As mentioned last Sunday I worked on even to collaboration projects.

One I can show today, the other one is already finished, too, but will be presented only in the course of the next week. The painting I present you today is the one of the third main challenge which already has been presented during the third showcase yesterday.

This challenge’s topic was „The Spirit of Collaboration“. Following this topic we were drawn into teams of twos to work together on one painting which had to show our personas interacting. They also had to have several elements in common.

„Bumper Cars“

Before Crissy went to the festival, a friend of hers (yes, the same as who didn’t turn up at the Masquerade Party) talked her into going to the tailor with her to get „some more modern clothes“ and ended buying some quite popular ones and with a pony tail in her hair. While waiting to meet her on the festival, Crissy spottet the Bumper Cars and since she already waited a whole hour she decided to investigate them further. She still was admiring all the rotating, steaming and moving parts as another Citizen, Lilo, bumped into hers.

No Time For Leisure Time

🇩🇪 Das Arcryla City (🇬🇧) Sommerfestival dauert an. Der nächste Showcase ist für nächste Woche Samstag angesetzt, das zugehörige Bild ist bereits fertig, kann gewohntermaßen aber erste nächsten Sonntag gezeigt werden. Aber auch ein zweites Bild ist bereits in Vorbereitung.

Grund genug also, hier nächste Woche wieder vorbeizuschauen. Für den Moment kann ich euch nur so viel sagen: Es handelt sich in beiden Fällen um Kollaborationsprojekte.

Trotzdem hatte ich auch in der vergangenen Woche noch ein Bild fertiggestellt, diesmal zu dem Sommerfestival Prompt „Leisure Time“ (🇬🇧) – es hat mich mehr Zeit gekostet als ich eigentlich gedacht hatte, doch ständig kamen mehr und mehr Ideen für Details hinzu. Wenn ihr genauer hinschaut, findet ihr übrigens Crissys ausgeschriebenen, vollen Namen:

🇬🇧 Still the Arcryla City Summer Festival is going on. The next showcase will take place next Saturday. The respective painting already is finished but as usual will be presented next Sunday but there also is another painting in preparation.

This already are two reason to see you again here next week. For the time being I only can tell you: They both are collaboration projects.

However, there actually was a painting I finished last week. This time depicting the general prompt „Leisure Time“ – it took more time than expected but the ideas kept coming along during the drawing process. If you look close, you will discover Crissy’s names in full:

„Heading into Leisure Time“

Crissy coming home after work. At home she is a little bit chaotic, though.

The Masked Mechanic

🇩🇪 Ich gebe zu, The Owl House (🇬🇧) (siehe letzte Woche) weshalb bei Cedrakon derzeit erneut Pause herrscht. Das Arcryla City Summer Festival dauert noch immer an und dereit liegen meine Inspirationen zum größten Teil dort. Mein Output diesbezüglich hat sich nun soweit erhöht, dass auch diesem inzwischen eine eigene Seite gewidmet habe. Unter Arcryla City (🇬🇧) findet ihr nun alle diesbezüglich erstellten Zeichnungen rund um meine OC Crissy Faith.

Letzte Woche hatte ich ja bereits ein weiteres Bild angekündigt, das ich aber heute erst zeigen kann. Die Challenge war, den Charakter in Vorbereitung auf, auf dem Weg zum oder während eines Maskenballs (🇬🇧) zu zeichnen. Bedingung: Es sollten zwei sichtbar verschiedene Medien/Texturen verwendet werden.

🇬🇧 I habe to confess, The Owl House (see last week) is not the only reason Cedrakon (🇩🇪) is in a break at the moment. The Arcryla City Summer Festival still is going on and my inspirations mainly direct to this. My output increased to an extent that I created on own page on this website. Last week I already announced another painting which I only can show today. The challenge being to depict the character preparing for, on their way to or during a Masquerade Party. Condition: Use two visibly different mediums/textures.

Description:

Crissy is a person who doesn’t socialize much (or easy), she just doesn’t have quite a grasp of how humans (and humanoids) work. While clockwork runs like … well … clockwork people don’t – they always have unpredictable issues. So, she feels uncomfortable in (non-mechanic) company.

She even had to be talked into actually attending the Arcryla City’s first big social event, the Summer Festival’s Masquerade Party. Normally, she never wears fancy clothes, not to mention dresses, so she had to borrow one and she does not even know why there were this costume and these boots in her closet – though they look suspiciously like the kind a former flatmate would have bought.

Unluckily, the person who talked her into attending the party didn’t show up and so she now stands near the balcony, watching the wonderfully reliable rotating cogwheel outside the building.

Es gab jedoch auch noch ein weiteres Bild dieser Woche, in dem Fall zu den General Prompts (🇬🇧). Es beinhaltet mehrere dieser, eingereicht habe ich es jedoch unter dem „Carousel“-Prompt.

But there was another painting, too, which I finished last week. In this case it was one of the General Prompts. It includes more than one but it was my entry for the „Carousel“ prompt.

Crissy Faith in her casual dress. She doesn’t socialize much but went to the festivities in a quite hour to appreciate the engines driving the fun. Since „a quite hour“ still means to be quite bustling she took shelter in the back of the big Carousel.
