Sleepover

A collaboration with Potato_Beta (Instagram)

Sooo, Crissy met Potato after her Ring Toss photo shoot, as she asked Crissy to build an Anti-G Device, so they could fly. They quickly became good friends and this evening they planned a girls‘ night!

They decided to make a sleepover, which took place on Crissy’s flat as Conway is currently living in Potato’s house and they didn’t want someone overhearing their conversations.

They ate a lot and talked a ton, and after some fish drinks true feeling came to light…

Crissy: “ So who was that guy in the photo shoot?“
Potato: “ Ummm… he was… my…. childhood friend… but now, he’s… SO I saw you flying the other day with someone who is she??? Is she your CRUSH??“
Crissy (instant blushing): „Err … Paula? … No … I mean … yes … no … perhaps …“
Potato: „Oohhh Paula… cute name! You make a nice couple! Do you plan on confessing??
Crissy (going full tomato mode): „Con… err … no … umm …“ (mumbling around) „Just a customer … don’t know … don’t think … isn’t interested in me …“

Zeppelin Night Ride

A follow-up to the Sleepover painting in collaboration with Potato_Beta (Instagram)

„Girl, you are in love!! And I’m going to help you out!“, Potato’s words from the sleepover still were echoing in Crissy’s head the next day. „Okay, it’s decided, we are going to a double date. We are going to get you a girlfriend!“

Everything was going faster than Crissy ever had expected or even planned. She actually had been too overwhelmed even to object. Now she was standing in front of Paula and stammered along her lines:

„Err … uhm … I got free tickets for a Zeppelin Night Ride … for two … perhaps … uhm … you want to join? … With some friends? … There is a gallery from which you can watch the engines, they have self-playing insturments … err … and they offer Jetbike Rides!“

There also would be a dance but Crissy didn’t dare to mention it, she was blushing red enough as it was.

„Huh, with friends?“
„Potato and Conway?“
„Conway?“
„Her … err … her boyfriend …“
„Oh, I see … Jetbike rides, you say? Count me in! – When?“
„Err … today evening? It’s overnight, we will be back tomor…“
„You’re hot, Coralhead.“
„What?!“
„Your ears are gleaming … see you later, Sweetie.“

And later … everything was going faster than Crissy ever had imagined.

Phone Call

Potato’s POV:

After the zeppelin ball Potato and Conway went back home, upon leaving she saw Crissy leaving with Paula, they seemed to be having fun.
The next morning she decided to give her a call to see how things went:

„Hi Crissy! How did it go with Paula?
Did you manage too confess?“
She sounded kind of flustered and sleepy at the same time.
„Oh… she stayed with you?! That explains why it sounds like you’ve just woken up!“ Potato laughed, glad her plan worked better than expected.

„Have you eaten anything? Conway is cooking som brunch right now. I think he’s making crepes.“
„Noodles, those sound nice. Wait – did you just say we?! Is she still with you?!!“
Those news made Potato even happier. She laughed again, she knew Crissy should be as red as a tomato.

The smell of crepes filled the air and Conway silently signaled that the food was ready.

„Then I’ll leave you to it, I should head back to eat something. But you must promise to tell me everything over a coffee!“

Crissy’s POV:

„Huh? What? Did I what …? … Confess? Oh … err … well … err … we actually didn’t talk that much last night …“
Crissy felt the blood coloring her cheeks red again.
„No … we … err … we didn’t find much sleep either …“

In fact, she didn’t remember a lot of the events of the yesterday’s evening. Her mind still was full of the pink clouds that rose from the moment Paula’s vast amount of energy hit her like a zeppelin hitting a bird in flight.

„We … she … yes, she stayed with me …“

Next thing Crissy knew was that it was almost noon the other day and they both were hungry. Crissy hadn’t to go to work today and they theoretically could’ve slept in but because of reasons already mentioned they just felt to call the Arcryla Noodles delivery service.

„Noodles … we ordered noodles.“

But where did the bottle of wine come from? It seemed to be one of the bottles you could buy on the zeppelin ride, but Crissy didn’t remember taking one with them. On the other hand – she remembered so little, right?

„If she is with me now …?“, Crissy’s blush intensified, she was glad Paula couldn’t see her face from her place on the couch. She would’ve said something along the lines of „Coralhead“ again or similar. Thinking about this made her blush even more, Potato HAD to sense her blush through the soundtelegraph apparat’s speaker. „Yes, err … yes, she’s still with me, err … yes, I will tell you soon.“

Zeppelin Light Ride
(Anniversary piece)

As Crissy’s and Paula’s anniversary approached, Crissy got the idea to repeat their last year’s zeppelin ride together. After an eventful evening and as highlight the flying fish showing up again, she and Paula enjoyed the rest of the night together in their cabin under the lights of Arcryla City’s unique skylife.

Midnight Snack

Crissy’s pets are water bears. They usually are not bigger in size than one millimeter. Therefore, Crissy constructed a mechanical water bear so she can take them for a walk, equipped with a projectoscope to watch them living their little water bear lives. Every so often she has to feed them algae, of course.

Kiss on the Beach

One advantage of living in a floating city was that you were able to go places. Sandy, warm and splashy places.

Lunchtime

Some time ago somebody joked around about drawing our Arcryla City OCs in „hot“ poses. Additionally, I thought of painting Crissy at work for some time. So I combined them. It was quite an exercice in anatomy and it took me right out of my comfort zone.

After a hard morning’s work in the mechanical entrails of Arcryla City, Crissy sat down for a lunch break. But wherever there is a screw to tighten, Crissy will fix it and even forget about her cheese lettuce tomato egg and mayonnaise sandwich.
